Welcome to Stetina Security Solutions!

This page has been created as a networking and communication tool for me to use to reach out to potential employers. Allow me to introduce myself:

I am Dustin Stetina. I attend Folsom Lake College with the intention to transfer to Sacramento State University in the Fall of 2012. I will be pursuing a BS in Criminal Justice; I have already obtained an AA in Administration of Justice. By the time I transfer, I will also have obtained an AA in Psychology and an AA in Social and Behavioral Sciences.

I have learned many skills in a practical setting that allow me to excel in this field: I have an understanding of Criminal Law and the California Justice system; I possess a Guard Card to legally allow me to maintain a position in Private Security; I have excellent report writing and interviewing skills; I have received 60 hours of training in the identification and classification of illegal narcotics, and can identify substances and identify people under the influence of narcotics; I understand multicultural issues and how to effectively create community relations with people of all cultures; I can secure, maintain, handle, and process a crime scene at all steps from arrival to evidence collection; and I have been trained in forensic photography.

With the exception of my Guard Card, I learned all of these skills at Folsom Lake College through their Administration of Justice program. These were taught to me in a practical and theoretical setting: When I say I have the skills to perform these tasks, it is because I have completed them in a practical setting. I have taken 27 accredited college units specific to the field of Administration of Justice and have earned a 4.0 average in each one I have completed.

While not attending classes, I work in the retail industry. Since 2009, I have worked for Vans in the Folsom Outlets. While there, I have learned leadership skills and how to identify and manage shoplifters. In Summer of 2010, I worked a second job at Pac Sun, also in the Folsom Outlets, as a temporary stockroom employee. While there, I learned efficiency and more loss prevention skills. In the Summer of 2011, I began working at O'Neill, again in the Folsom Outlets. I was hired as a temporary worker, and within two months I was promoted to a supervisor position. Throughout all of this, I have always held my job at Vans.

It is now time for me to begin to find work in Loss Prevention or Private Security. I am looking for all available positions and hours: I do go to class 21 hours a week, and in order to maintain my educational path, I am willing to work graveyard or early morning shifts to both gain experience and finish my education simultaneously.
